Homebet Help

When you enter your account number and password the betting interface will open in one of two possible layouts.

If you have Java installed on your computer the left hand side of the screen will appear with all the buttons available to select meeting, race, bet amount, bet type, selection[s] and functions. This is the high bandwidth functionality.

If you do not have Java installed, this area will be blank other than the 'High Bandwidth' and 'Low Bandwidth' icons. If you do not want to install Java at this time then click on the 'Low Bandwidth' icon, this will open the HTML based functionality.

To place your bet, simply –

Select meeting, click 'next'
Select race and amount you wish to bet, click 'next'
Select bet pool, [Win, Place, Show, Exacta etc] click 'next'
Make your selection[s] click 'submit bet'
Read and click 'confirm your bet'
The message 'Your bet has been accepted' will display along with the bet and your current balance after the bet.
Should your bet have failed for any reason you will be advised as such.
If, at any time prior to placing your bet, you wish to change the bet in any way, use the 'Previous' button to select the required screen.
If you place a bet in error click the 'My Bets' icon and your bets will be listed. Simply click the 'Cancel' button on the desired bet and the status will change to 'Cancelled'. If you are too late to cancel the bet then an exclamation mark will appear on the screen and will need to be cleared, click OK

To install Java go to www.java.com and click on the big green button FREE JAVA DOWNLOAD

On the security warning click 'Install'
On the welcome window click 'Accept'
On the Google window as you do not need the Google toolbar or desktop to run our betting terminal we would recommend you un-tick both boxes, click 'Next'
On the complete window click 'Finish'
Close all other browser windows and click 'Verify Installation'

When you now enter your account number and password the betting terminal will default to the 'High Bandwidth' option.

The tracks are listed across the top, blue buttons. Click on a track, it will highlight in white and the number of races at the meeting will show on the green buttons below, a meeting in progress will only show the remaining races.

When you click on a race number it will also highlight in white and the available bet pools for the race will show on the white buttons below.

To place a bet

Select a meeting [blue buttons] select a race [green buttons] select an amount to bet [Red Buttons]
Select a bet pool [white buttons] and make selection[s] [numbered buttons]
As you progress your bet will appear across the top of the screen immediately above the blue buttons.
Having made your selections the 'Submit Bet' button will highlight in green – click and your bet and cost will appear at the top of the screen and you will be asked to confirm – click 'confirm bet'
'Bet accepted' will appear at the top of the screen and the cost confirmed.
Should your bet be rejected for any reason you will be advised as such.

As before, if you place a bet in error click the 'My Bets' icon and your bets will be listed. Simply click the 'Cancel' button on the desired bet and the status will change to 'Cancelled'. If you are too late to cancel the bet then an exclamation mark will appear on the screen and will need to be cleared, click OK
